Founder, Photographer, Musician, Artist, Scribbler, Poet, Philosopher, Wanderer
The product of a being brought up in a creative environment, Stevie has been an artist his entire life. A native of the Appalachian Region, from an early age his interests developed in drawing, photography, and videography, and later on, music and writing. At 19, he joined the US Navy as a photojournalist and combat camera operator, deploying to Guantanamo Bay and documenting Navy operations all over the world.
Following his Navy duties, Stevie moved to Tokyo to earn his degrees in Art and Communications to further develop his practise and philosohy.
Through incorporating Japanese photographic theory and ideology nominative of ‘Buddhist photography’ to his photojournalist roots, he found his artistic “voice”. The moments that capture our attention, pull us in, and somehow connect us in a moment of fleeting presence and feeling, became his photographic muse.
Stevie also regularly practices writing poetry, studying guitar and learning ‘flamenco’ style, and challenging his perceptions of existence.
Stevie is passionate about mental health awareness and help for fellow veterans.
